One of my favorite books in 4th or 5th grade was an autobiographical novel called Roll of Thunder, Hear My Cry about the 1957 integration of Central High School in Little Rock, Arkansas. To find this picture of Minniejean Brown, the author of the novel, and the National Guard from 1957 in front of the school was amazing!
